The Fuchsberg Legacy
The Jacob Fuchsberg law firm has an 80-year tradition of protecting individuals when they need it the most. When the unforeseen strikes-an accident, negligence, medical malpractice, discrimination, injuries from products-we step in to provide compassionate and experienced representation. This is the legacy of our firm.
Trailblazers in Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, and Product Liability Law | The Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm
Serving the New York Metropolitan Area and Northern New Jersey
The principles of individual rights upon which the Fuchsberg Law Firm was founded still characterize our practice today. Our history dates back to the 1920s, when one of our founding fathers, Henry E. Cohen, was one of the first lawyers in the country to represent individuals injured in accidents. His son-in-law, Jacob D. Fuchsberg, a nationally known trial lawyer and former judge of New York's highest appeals court, was the first lawyer to win a personal injury verdict of over $1 million.
The Fuchsberg Tradition of Excellence
For over 80 years, we have helped seriously injured individuals and their families obtain justice. Our firm has strengthened the Fuchsberg legacy by developing innovative legal strategies and advanced expertise in medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, employment law, and civil rights cases. We handle these matters on behalf of individuals, families, groups, and through class actions. Our lawyers are widely known for being highly professional, approachable, and reliable, yet assertive and thorough—determined to reach a favorable resolution for each of our clients.
Our dedication to justice shows in our winning record.
“When clients come to me with life-altering problems, I am inspired to represent them and to find solutions, even in the most difficult cases.”– Alan Fuchsberg

“While I can't change the course of what's occurred, I can certainly assist, hopefully, in providing people with the ability to care for themselves financially or to somehow get some recompense for the ills caused by other people.”—Leslie Debra Kelmachter
