Mr. Schonfeld was previously an associate at a well-known plaintiff’s firm in New York City for close to six years where he gained extensive experience in all phases of litigation and successfully settled a number of the lawsuits he handled. He has argued numerous appeals and motions before the federal and state courts. Mr. Schonfeld recently successfully defended a multi-million dollar medical malpractice verdict in the Appellate Division of the State of New York. His appellate work has included cases involving real estate disputes, employment discrimination claims, matrimonial law, as well as product liability and medical malpractice. Mr. Schonfeld is a member of the bars of the States of New York and New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York. He is also admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Schonfeld is a member of the Association of the Bar of The City Of New York where he served on the Tort Litigation Committee from 2004-2007. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association.
