For over 25 years, Rosalind Fuchsberg Kaufman has earned significant recognition as a highly respected and skilled trial lawyer. Her primary areas of concentration include catastrophic motor vehicle cases, medical malpractice lawsuits, premises liability cases, and actions based on faulty care given in nursing homes. She also handles domestic abuse cases and trust and estate matters.
Ms. Kaufman has litigated in federal and state courts throughout New York State. She is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court.
Leadership Activities
Ms. Kaufman carries on the Fuchsberg family legacy by her commitment to advancing the legal profession through education and community involvement. She has given training seminars to young lawyers and has made frequent television appearances on legal subjects. She actively participates in many professional and civic organizations.

Significant Cases
Maharan v. Maharan established an innocent spouse’s right to know if a husband/wife is infected with a sexually transmitted disease. In this case, the wife was awarded $750,000 in compensatory and punitive damages from her husband because he transmitted his disease to her.
