Four FDA recalls have recently issued for eyedrops that treat dry, irritated eyes and increased ocular pressure. All have been linked to development of serious eye infections, blindness, hospitalization or death. The recalled products were found to have non-sterile contaminants, including bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms and microbials.
Recalled Products:
- EzriCare - Artificial Tears Lubricant Eye Drops
- Delsam - Pharma Artificial Eye Ointment
- Apotex - Brimonidine Tartrate Ophthalmic Solution, 0.15%
- Pharmedica - Purely Soothing, 15% MSM Drops
If you or someone you love has contracted an eye infection as a consequence of using any of the recalled eyedrops, you may have a case against the manufacturers of these products. We recommend that you keep all containers and packaging from the affected eyedrops until you speak with an attorney.
