Anthony Pagan
With over twenty-five years of legal experience preceded by a career in Law Enforcement and as a native New Yorker born and raised in the South Bronx, Anthony Pagan Jr., is a well-rounded professional, bringing his many talents to the legal system.
“Our backgrounds have a strong influence on how we think. I came from the South Bronx so I take the nuances of my childhood into consideration in my work.”
Mr. Pagan became interested in law after completing a pre-law program in high school. Prior to pursuing law, Mr. Pagan worked as a correctional officer for the New York City Department of Corrections. While working with the Department of Corrections, Mr. Pagan had a various assignments, such as, in the Supervise Detention Unit where he was responsible for monitoring those on house arrest, accompanying them to court, and assisting with professional development, and also was assigned to the Bronx Court’s where he interfaced with the New York City Police Department, the Parole Department, the Probation Department, and the criminal court system. Additionally, during his final year at Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. Pagan received an award for best oralist in the Moot Court Competition for Appellate Advocacy.
“As the client’s representative, you have to put yourself in their shoes to get to know their client and understand what they are looking for. As an attorney, you are their mouth piece and you want to really speak for them.”
Mr. Pagan has experience in a wide range of practice areas, including personal injury, employment discrimination, real estate, family law, and landlord/tenant disputes.
Mr. Pagan and the Partners of the Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm have been collaborating to bring the best success possible on several major cases from which a strong supportive relationship has developed between them. He became involved with the Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm after collaborating with Managing Partner, Alan Fuchsberg on a wrongful death case. Mr. Pagan stated, “I saw the benefit in collaborating with an established firm and brining cases to the firm. I thought it would be a good fit for what I am endeavoring to do in my career right now.”
He remains a partner of The Law Offices of Campos-Marquetti & Pagan, which is known for employment discrimination, family and matrimonial law, real estate transactions, as well as personal injury.
Mr. Pagan was also a member of the board for a non-profit organization, the Latino Institute of Pastoral Care, which was tasked with obtaining grants to help different churches throughout the Spanish community. Mr. Pagan has also lectured several times for the Bronx Neighbor Housing Services, for first time home buyers looking to enter the housing market as first time home owners.
