Celena Gonzalez

Celena Gonzalez joined The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Firm as an associate attorney pending admission/law graduate in June 2022. Her practice focuses on litigating medical malpractice and surrogate court matters in New York state and federal courts.

Celena graduated magna cum laude from Manhattan College, where she advanced her dedication to the disabled community by completing her senior thesis on the Duties of Care to the Cognitively Impaired.

During law school, Celena was a full academic scholarship recipient.

She interned with the Jewish Museum’s general counsel office, where she provided holistic advice in protecting the museum’s collection and ensuring ADA compliance.

Celena also worked with Mount Sinai Innovation Partners in promoting advanced medicine by negotiating commercial contracts in the life sciences.

Throughout law school, Celena was an active member of the Brooklyn Law Studentsf or the Public Interest and acting secretary of the Art Law Association. She also participated in a rigorous study abroad program at the University of Amsterdam, where she studied European Union Law, International Law, and arbitration.

Prior to joining the firm, Celena completed a legal fellowship with the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a United States federal government agency. She also advocated on behalf of low-income NYC business owners by negotiating favorable commercial leases at the Volunteers of Legal Services.
